  • Description: A welcoming family in Ladue, MO, with three young children is seeking a Family Assistant for Friday afternoons and one Sunday per month. The primary focus of this role is preparing dinner using their Home Chef recipe service and supporting the household, keeping the homeorganized, tidy, and running smoothly. As the family enjoys their evening routines, the assistant will work quietly behind the scenes. Occasional childcare may be needed, Mom, a very hands-on stay-at-home parent. 

    This role is ideal for someone who thrives as a steady, reliable presence in the home. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, productive, caring, and comfortable working independently without constant direction.

    Responsibilities: Laundry: Wash, fold, and return clothing and linens to their proper rooms

    Cooking: Prepare Home Chef meals—Friday dinners and occasional Sunday lunches (about once a month)

    Household Care: Keep the home tidy and organized, including:

    Tidying children’s rooms, play areas, the living room, and the basement throughout the shift

    Wiping down tables and counters after meals

    Sweeping or vacuuming the kitchen and dining areas

    Loading the dishwasher with meal dishes and hand-washing children’s dishes and pans used.

    Schedule: Fridays from 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM, plus one Sunday per month (5 hours) when dad is on call. Sunday schedules are provided in advance. There may also be opportunities to work on major holidays at time-and-a-half pay with advance notice.

    Pay: $30/hour

    The family values structure, positive reinforcement, and open communication with their caregiver. Their ideal nanny is patient, playful, organized, and dependable—someone who brings strong childcare experience (teaching experience a plus!) and enjoys collaborating with parents to foster a nurturing, structured environment where children can truly thrive. 

    About the Children: Energetic, bright 7-year-old who loves outdoor play, and a sweet, spirited 4-year-old who enjoys dancing, swimming, and outdoor adventures. 

     Responsibilities:

    • Provide patient, kind, and engaging childcare

    • Offer age-appropriate learning and creative activities

    • Maintain consistent routines and boundaries

    • Assist with reading homework (10–15 minutes daily)

    • Prepare children’s meals and keep their areas tidy

    • Manage family laundry and light household upkeep

    • Handle  daily school pick-ups (within 2 miles from house) and occasional extracurricular transport

      Schedule: Two 10-hour household management days (7:45 AM–5:45 PM). 

    • Three shorter days (approx. 11:00 AM–6:00 PM)
      Flexibility required to adjust full days with 4+ weeks' notice for school breaks or changes.

     Compensation: $920-1000wk+

    Qualifications: Professional experience caring for toddlers and school-age children, with references from childcare centers or families you have worked for, excluding friends, family, or coworkers.

  • A two-physician family in St. Louis City is seeking a full-time nanny for their two boys, ages 2.5 years and 10 months. With variable work schedules, they are looking for a flexible nanny who can adapt as needed. The family values quality time together and engages with their children as a team, using positive language that fosters gratitude and emotional awareness. Screens are limited, with a focus on community outings and imaginative play at home. They provide clear expectations and consistent structure while offering developmentally appropriate choices whenever possible.

    Children’s Personalities

    2.5-year-old:

Once he forms a connection, he becomes affectionate and warm. He values independence and thrives with caregivers who offer developmentally appropriate choices within a structured, predictable environment.

    10-month-old:

    A social, outgoing, happy baby who adores playing with his big brother. He is generally easygoing but confidently uses his voice to express his needs. He loves having “conversations” with his caregivers and has begun using baby sign language, currently signing “more” and “milk.”

    Schedule: 40 hours per week guaranteed minimum, but schedule varies between 40 to 60 hours weekly. On a typical week, Monday–Friday, 6:30/7:30 AM – 2/6 PM. A schedule is provided at least four weeks in advance. Overtime rate of 1.5x normal hourly rate for hours beyond 40.

    Pay: $22-$30hr

    Nanny Duties

    • Tend to the children’s daily needs, including feeding, dressing, bathing, and facilitating naps

    • Plan and schedule age-appropriate activities and outings

    • Supervise, engage, and participate in activities with the children

    • Maintain a clean and organized environment during work hours, including the kitchen, nursery, and play areas

    — Tasks include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, wiping counters/highchairs, and loading/unloading the dishwasher

    • Wash children’s laundry and linens

    • Administer medication only as directed by the family

    • Prepare meals for the children as requested

    • Monitor and restock child-related household items, communicating needs to the family

    • Provide daily updates on the children’s routines, behavior, and development

    Qualifications: Professional experience caring for infants and school-age children, Strong, verifiable references from previous childcare centers or families you’ve worked for (excluding personal friends, relatives, or coworkers)

  • About the Family

    Family in Clarkson Valley seeks a full-time Household Manager with light childcare.

    This role supports the family by maintaining smooth household operations, coordinating schedules and vendors, managing inventory and errands, and assisting with meal planning. Childcare is typically two days per week but may occasionally increase to four days during travel or schedule needs. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable supporting a household system already in place.

     Children’s Personality

    Kind, gentle, patient, independent, curious, and energetic.

    Start Date: ASAP

    Compensation: $27/hour, with the potential for an increase to $30/hour after 30 days based on consistent reliability and the ability to manage household responsibilities independently.

    Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week

    Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

    Could include bi-weekly Friday and/or Saturday date nights

    Every other week, the nanny will receive a full or half day off to offset evening hours

    The schedule is provided at least 4 weeks in advance for planning

     Pets :The family has one highly trained dog. Duties may include refilling and cleaning water bowls, occasional walks, and giving treats.

     Responsibilities

    Childcare : Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities such as walks, outdoor play, reading, songs, and arts & crafts.

    Create a nurturing, fun, and engaging environment that supports the child’s development.

    Maintain a structured daily routine that balances play, learning, and exploration.

    Provide newborn care when a baby is added to the family.

    Household Management :Maintain the home and grounds in coordination with other staff.

    Tidy common areas, unload the dishwasher, and handle grocery shopping and simple meal prep.

    Wash, fold, press, and put away laundry (primarily for the child, with occasional help for parents).

    Manage family schedules, appointments, and household organization.

    Oversee contractors, service providers, and household staff, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to standards.

    Perform shopping and errands as needed.

    Assist with pet care.

    Maintain professional boundaries and communication.

    Respect and follow established household systems (shopping lists, menus, communication structures).

    Communicate efficiently—minimizing interruptions and providing updates only as necessary.

    Take initiative and complete tasks thoroughly without shifting responsibilities back onto the parents.

    Respect household authority, recognizing that final decisions rest with the parents.
